Annual Cheneyville Sandhill Crane Field Trip: Saturday, February 9, 2019

Meet in the LSU at Shreveport Museum of Life Sciences parking lot at 7 a.m. and carpool from there

The annual Cheneyville Sandhill Crane field trip is scheduled for Saturday, February 9, 2019.  Larry Raymond will lead this trip to try for Sandhill Crane in the Cheneyville area (south of Alexandria).  In the past, large numbers of geese and ducks are sometimes present.  We will meet in the LSU at Shreveport Museum of Life Sciences parking lot at 7 a.m. and carpool from there.  We will take I-49 South to Alexandria and then turn on U.S. 71 South.  We will begin looking for the cranes near LSU at Alexandria.  Come prepared to stay out in the field until after lunch.  We try to return to the meeting place by 2:30 p.m.  Those that follow in their own vehicles can leave when they are ready.  Please dress for the weather and bring insect repellent, drinks, snacks, and lunch if you plan to eat out in the field.  Larry
