SCAVENGER HUNT

Saturday, March 29, 2008, 7:00 a.m.

Coordinator – Mac Hardy, 797-5338 (W), Laurence.Hardy@lsus.edu

Meet at the LSUS Museum of Life Sciences.  The scavenger hunt is a competition among teams of two or more observers to find a specific number of species of birds from a list obtained at the start of the competition.  The event will be timed and will require the use of a cell phone.  The winning team will be the team with the highest number of listed species (verified by at least two team members) when the competition ends at 12:00 noon.  The event will culminate with lunch (Dutch treat for the losers) at the winning team’s choice of restaurant.  The losing teams will chip in to buy lunch for the winning team.

The list of birds to be located will be provided in sealed envelopes by a local birding expert.  Sign up for this event at the BSG March meeting or call or e-mail Mac Hardy.
